All adults in Scouting owe it to their young people to update their Safeguarding understanding and knowledge

 



v What is child abuse?

v Would you recognise the signs of abuse?

v Do you know what to do if you see or receive a report of abuse?

v Do you understand the Scout Association’s ‘Code of Practice’?

v What are the Physical Contact guidelines for working with young people?

v Are you aware of the latest ‘Safe Practice’ guidelines?

v Do you know your Duty of Care with regard to Child Protection?

v Are you putting yourself at risk of spurious allegations of Child Abuse?

v Are you helping your colleagues & young people to stamp out Bullying?

v Are your young people safe when Social Networking & online?
